| CRC’s Monthly Update
With the start of 2004, Community Rights Counsel is pleased
to announce we are expanding our focus to include coverage
of a broader array of constitutional challenges to community
protections. We have thus changed the name from Takings
Watch to Community Rights Report. We will, of course,
continue to report on significant takings developments. But
as many of our readers know, Community Rights Counsel has
broadened its litigation bailiwick to assist in defending
against preemption challenges to state and local protections,
as well as challenges under the Commerce Clause and Section
5 of the Fourteenth Amendment to federal protections that
provide minimum safeguards for all communities. Community
Rights Report will report on these new initiatives while
continuing to cover takings and the property rights movement.
The newsletter includes columns presenting a Feature Case,
our Outrage Of The Month, CRC's Eye On Washington, and events
On The Horizon. It's a quick read that provides useful information
and an occasional chuckle. Enjoy.
